Learning objective:

This is an open lecture framework designed to enable the doctoral student to participate in specialised training specifically related to the broader context of the dissertation. The specialised lecture may be imposed on the doctoral student by the subject board or by the doctoral student. Such a lecture may take place at the doctoral student's own faculty, other faculties, universities, at home or abroad.

Thematic areas:

These relate to the subject matter of the doctoral research itself so that the research topic itself is seen through the lens of a broader disciplinary or interdisciplinary discourse.

Learning outcomes

The doctoral student defends the acquired knowledge before the departmental board, especially by pointing out the relation of the acquired knowledge to the actual subject of the theoretical or creative part of the dissertation. The doctoral student will defend the relevance of the lectures he/she has attended, especially in terms of a thorough study of the special aspects of his/her own dissertation research.
