The course includes an overview of post-war puppet theatre until present times, as well as the milestones in the development of world puppet theatre in the 2nd half of the 20th century. The aim is to learn about the directions of development of contemporary puppetry, analyse the most outstanding puppetry works, understand the processes taking

place in puppet theatre, acquire an awareness of the vast sources of inspiration of puppetry artists who refer to many different cultures and traditions. The objective of the course is to analyse different performances seen, search for their senses, discover the construction of a theatrical piece, as well as to try formulate assessments, create one’s own taste and aesthetic sensitivity

Objective: Familiarizing students with the latest happenings in puppetry art in the world, with new trends, tendencies in puppetry art as well as with the most interesting contemporary artists and their works.

It is not possible to register for the course 204PUCPT if the student is concurrently registered for or has already completed the course 204PUPTT (mutually exclusive courses).
