Learning outcomes of the course unit

The aim of the course is to introduce student into the issues of planning film and television projects. Aside from basic introductions such as project planning, this brings classical steps in the creation of a shooting plan. Students are to understand the practical difficulties, common mistakes and plan how to face them.

Course contents

  1. Introduction to planning and budgeting
  2. Film crew issues - analysis of individual departments
  3. Basic periods of the rise of a film work - development, execution research, preparations, recording, liquidation, post-production, distribution
  4. Recording preparations planning - PPM, Technical inspection, casting, fittings, tests, budget walks, bond process
  5. Recoring planning - recording day scheduling
  6. Production script analysis
  7. Script development - technical elements, DooD, Dailies - location, reviews, etc.
  8. Recording calendar - fee days, travel days, prep days, liquidation
  9. Regular criteria of constructing a recording plan - liabilities, location, chronology, season, weather
  10. Time limits of working days - overtime, comparative hours, lunch penalties, travel hours
  11. Recording plan as support for the budget
  12. Changes and distribution of the recording plan.
