Designed for those with little or no experience, this workshop introduces the basics of electronic music production using Bitwig Studio, a powerful and flexible digital audio workstation.

Workshop Topics:

Participants will receive a free Bitwig Studio 8-Track license to continue exploring music production after the workshop.

Learning outcomes

Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn the basic tools and techniques needed to begin creating their own music.

Note

Instructor:

Hany Manja; Damascus-born musician, electronic music producer, educator and certified Bitwig trainer.

Hany moved to Prague in 2005 and worked in many studios, composed music for TV/short films/installations and was an active member of the 'Synth Library Prague' community. In 2020 Hany moved to Beirut and founded the music duo Rust together with singer Petra Hawi. The duo mixes traditional Arabic music and vocals with contemporary electronic production.

In 2021, he also co-founded the Beirut Synthesizer Center, a community space for self-directed learning with a primary focus on the study of music synthesis and sound.
