11.00 Klub Letka - Pitching of Master´s Projects

A competition category focusing on Master’s degree production projects of the Department of Production at FAMU. The expert committee evaluates the submitted projects based on the students, the submitted documents and also based on the pitching itself. Each participant has five minutes for presenting and the jury has another five minutes for questions. The basic criteria for success are originality and quality of the project, production strategy, clarity of the submitted materials, feasibility and readiness of the project with respect to the length of study at FAMU, and quality of the oral defence. The competition partner is the Audiovisual Producers ́ Association. Thank you!

15.30 Klub Letka - Scriptwriters meet the industry

Scriptwriters meet the industry #4 this year will feature 7 male and female Master's students KSD program at FAMU. You can not only meet the writers in person but also their unrealized feature scripts through short demonstrations. After the presentation, there will be a space for discussion over a glass of wine. The event is being held for the fourth time under the auspices of the APA (Association of Producers in Audiovisual). It will take place on 7 March at Klub Letka, will be held in Czech language and is open to the general public.

18.30 Edison Filmhub - „Big Debut, Big Impact“ Cinergy s Giacomo Abbruzzesem

Cinergy.cz in cooperation with FAMUFEST and Edison Filmhub, invites you to a screening of Disco Boy followed by a discussion with Italian director Giacomo Abbruzzese about the making of his ambitious debut film, which premiered in the Main Competition of the Berlinale 2023. The discussion will not only cover the development and production of the film, but also the collaboration with the cinematographer Hélène Louvart and the musician Vitalic, or the journey to film festivals, led by the filmmaker Šimon Holý.

11:30 Klub Letka - How Not to Shoot a Debut

Open debate on the topic of how not to shoot a debut with director Natálie Císařovská (Her Body), director Albert Hospodářský (Brutal Heat), cinematographer Filip Marek (Recovery Point), and producer Eva Pavlíčková (If It Were Better, It Would Burn, She Came in the Night), who have recently gone through their first feature film experience. What didn’t work out, what to watch out for, what to avoid, and what to do differently on the second and third films will be untraditionally asked by film producer Julie Marková Žáčková.

that examines, for example, media consumption and the impact of technology on the transformation of this industry. Find out how pre-testing works in the advertising industry, including film trailers, and how to best capture the attention of potential audiences with creative content.
