Biography of the lecturer:

Anna Salzberg (*1980) is a French documentary and experimental filmmaker with background in literature, social and political science. She works as film director, camera operator and sound editor and has also directed sound documentaries for ARTE Radio. Anna often mixes filmic forms and approaches such as film essay, auto-ethnographic diary or film journalism, as well as different media and formats (Super8 and 16mm film, digital video). She is member of several activist and feminist creative collectives such as the Scotcheuses, collective that films and records in places of struggle, and La Poudrière, Feminist collective of Experimental Filmmakers, founded in 2016 and based at artisanal experimental film laboratory L’Etna. Besides L’Etna Anna is also member of the artist-run film lab L’Abominable, currently under transformation into artistic and patrimonial project Le Navire Argo within the space of former film laboratories Éclair.

Since 2006, Anna has been running various film and sound workshops with children in her neighborhood, with women in prisons, in emergency shelters and with students in high schools, colleges and universities (practical workshop of experimental cinema at Université de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, 2023).
