Contents

Introduction to the Pilates technique and the usefulness of this method in the everyday and professional life of the artist.

In Pilates I you will learn seventeen of the thirty-four basic Pilates exercises.

Focusing on working the upper limbs and back muscles, using the maximum capacity of the lungs.

Learning outcomes

Pilates 1 and Pilates 2 are designed for dancers, musicians, singers and other students who need to learn how to work with the breath, develop motor skills and balance movement imbalances.

The goal of the Pilates method is the connection and conscious interplay of body and mind.

Pilates develops coordination, strength, balance, flexibility, and breathing; it works the back, abdominal, and gluteal muscles as the foundation of proper posture - the core, the „power house“.

Overall, the technique develops long, lean muscles with an emphasis on proper breathing, thereby also oxygenating the muscles and promoting blood circulation.

Pilates is an exercise system developed to equip you with flexibility, strength and natural movement grace,

which is reflected in the way you walk and the way you move.
